Comedian Bård Tufte Johansen has been shaping and defining the state of Norwegian humour on television since the mid 90s. MANN (44) was his long awaited debut solo stand up performance on a stage, met with fantastic reviews and completely sold-out houses, spanning well over a year of performances. Needless to say, it was a great privilege and very fun task to add some degree of musical madness to this project!
One of the highlights was creating the epic "peace on earth" ballad, where Bård sings, with great patos: "The world is full of people with diffuse muscle and skeletal suffering", backed by a gospel-like big band. It was great to work closely with Bård on the vocal parts – and I have to say, the guy has a great voice!
